Galway Robotics earn 3rd Place

The new Galway Robotics team had their first competition December 12th at Saratoga High School. They competed against 30 teams from 11 different school districts.
Teacher and team adviser, Eric Fana, commented, “We had a great day, the kids did fantastic, and it was great to see all their hard work pay off.   Our alliance team was eliminated in a tiebreaker during the semi-finals by only 4 points!”
Jacob Ernst, senior, enjoyed the competition and said, “I work well under pressure!”
“It was something I’ve never experienced before. I was brought in the day before the competition to help the team. This is not something we have in Slovakia, and I’m very glad that I could be there. Mr. Fana said I can be in every other competition,” explained Marek Borik.
Galway Robotics is looking forward to their next challenge. “We have more regional competitions coming up this winter and I will be reaching out to parents and the community with the details as they get closer,” Fana said. He added, “Thanks to Alan Willbrant for capturing the moments.”
