One of Mrs. Levine’s current projects is happening out in the back fields at school right now,. 8th grader Nate Mele is part of the Maple team for FFA!

Mrs. Levine is our agriculture teacher here in GHS. She teaches multiple classes such as 8th grade technology, floral design, landscape design, plant science, wildlife management, intro to agriculture and animal science. Her favorite class by far is her animal science class. However, her favorite unit, only within her 8th grade tech course, is the “Ag in the Past” unit, which consists of mainly planting.

Mrs. Levine was born on December 20, and grew up in Halfmoon, NY. When she was younger, she wanted to be a zookeeper! Mrs. Levine attended high school at Shenendehowa High, then later was an undergraduate at Cobleskill college and got her Master’s degree at SUNY Oswego. She started her teaching career as a substitute teacher in many different schools, such as Schuylerville, Greenwich, Granville, Fort Anne, Ballston Spa, and BOCES. She also taught at Fonda Fultonville.

This is only her second year teaching at Galway, but she seems to enjoy it here! Mrs. Levine cherishes the stuffed dino named Iggy that her seniors bought her last year. They also bought her a brand new desk chair! She says that is one of the nicest things her students have ever done for her. 

Mrs. Levine is also the advisor of our FFA.

This amazing teacher also enjoys her personal life. Some of her favorite activities are horseback riding and hiking! Mrs. Levine also has a lot of pets. She has 2 horses, 10 goats, somewhere between 10-20 chickens, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a few fish as well. Along with all of the animals she has, she also has a 2 year old son!
