When the first day of school becomes the last
How the years are constantly slipping through our fingertips
Traveling at the speed of sound as if trying to run away from us
Our grades become more important
Our performance more necessary
The increasing feeling of weight on our shoulders
From tests to friends and family
Growing up is hard
Growing up is so, so hard
We are all each an individual and separate entity
We all have our own conflicts and importances
But one thing we all have in common
Is the opportunity for growth
So grow
Grow with the flow
Grow and prosper with strength
Because growing up is hard
But forcing yourself not to – is harder.
