The Fault in Our Stars

The story that many readers loved is now out in theaters and is sure to capture even more hearts.  The plot comes alive on the big screen and shows the emotion behind John Green’s writing style.

The main actors in the movie, Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley, were the perfect people to play the characters of Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters.  The only flaw in the casting was the fact that Ansel Elgort has brown eyes and in the book Augustus’s eyes are blue.  This small detail went unnoticed by most because the rest of him could only be described as ideal.

Senior Gabby Knizek thought the most impressive part of the movie was that it was so similar to the book.  Gabby said, “The book is supposed to be better but oh my gosh, that was good.”  She was right.

Upon walking in to the theater, most people were commenting about how they suspected the movie couldn’t live up to their expectations because the book was THAT good.  The most surprising fact of the whole thing was that it did.

The casting matched Green’s characterization and the movie established the same mood the book did.  Gabby cried for the the entire last hour of the movie and when she got home.  Everyone should it, but not without tissues.
