Hit of the Summer

Ella Decker, EMC Staff Writer

We fell in love with the little yellow puppy and the Clydesdales two years ago at the 2014 Super Bowl. Go Seahawks!

This summer, those big gentle giants, otherwise known as the Budweiser Clydesdales came to Saratoga and surrounding cities for a fantastic show and parade of the team. If you went, which I hope you did for the experience, you could see them in  their massive stalls with their name plates and see where they stood in line. If you timed it right, you could see them get baths or prance around showing off their skills that take your breath away.

As someone who is slightly obsessed with these big guys, I was overly thrilled to hear they were at SPAC. I jumped and screamed for what was maybe an hour. My dream is to work with them one day. Did you know that all you have to have is your CDL (Commercial Driving License), be 21 and have horse experience? There are 3 different farms where you could work: a breeding farm, or the “photo” farm where you get to dress the horses up and pose them for pictures, for ads and logos, both located in Missouri. You could also work at the retirement farm where you can make them happy in their final years in the pasture.

The hitch team is on tour right now! If you would like to see the horses, check out the schedule on the Budweiser website! They’re definitely worth seeing!
