I’m Rem. Sam Uline is my owner and I am his favorite.  I am his bird dog.  We like to go duck hunting. He shoots and I  go get the catch. When I hear Sam come into the room, I know that we are going duck hunting because he has his gun, his face painted, and waders on ready to go.  I hop into the car and off we go. On the way there I can feel the excitement building up as we get closer and closer.  Finally we’re there and it’s not long before BANG he’s got it. One minute its flying through the air, the next there is a shot and it falls into the water making a splash and leaving a cloud of feathers behind. Then I go and retrieve it. I run as fast as I can to it as I think, “Oh yea it’s a good one.”  I bring it back to him  and we’re both proud. We don’t always shoot them right away.  Sometimes Sam builds duck blinds witch are sticks put together that you can sit in and wait until the ducks come by.

Sam usually shoots a decent amount.  Most of the time we go hunting in the morning and shoot what seems like it’s over our limit.  Then we go back in the afternoon and shoot again. Occasionally Sam will shoot a duck in the wing and it will get away and we are not happy.

Sam likes to go hunting because he likes spending time with his uncles and dad, and I like to spend time with him.  When Sam does some of the other things that he likes to do, I cannot be as much help.

He also likes to go fishing. When Sam is older, he wants to own his bait shop. Sam was in a fishing tournament before and he won because he had the biggest catch that weighed the most .

I am getting older now and I can no longer go hunting and I have had a hard time walking. Sam has to carry me down the stairs when we go outside. He is a good owner.
