Taylor Tranka is a fourteen year old girl that goes to Galway Jr High.  She has a very special connection with her dog Charlie Brown. Charlie Brown is nine years old and is a yellow lab.

Back in October of 2011,  Charlie Brown had a life threatening seizure. Taylor didn’t want to see her dog like that. She was very glum about her dog’s sickness. He couldn’t walk for two days and she wouldn’t go near him. Taylor was very scared he would die.

Since the seizure, Taylor has taken on a lot more responsibility when it comes to caring for him.  She exercises him to reduce the chances of another seizure. She babies him. Charlie Brown sleeps with her every night and they play together almost every day. Taylor says that Charlie has had a big impact on her life.

Taylor is no longer afraid that Charlie Brown is going to have another seizure. Even though he is getting older, he is very healthy and happy living with Taylor.
