Thanks to Mrs. Ceroalo, for the following report on the derby…

Though participation was down from last year, everyone got involved (players, coaches, and parents) and a fun time was had by all.

Participants: The Flint family (Henry, George, Jen, George Sr.); the Collins family (Kyle, Michelle, and Nick); the Ceroalo family (Evan and Tammy); the Van Wormer family (Jordan and Marc); the Diaz family (Manny and Dan); Tyler Bailey, Nick Manna, Ron Lewis, Paul Wojak, Shane Marshall and Coach Youngblood.

Home run derby results (levels u10 to u18/adult): winners: U10 – Henry Flint with 2 Home runs, Michelle Collins with 1; U13: Manny Diaz 3 home runs, George Flint 2; Jordan Van Wormer 0; U15: Dan Diaz with 0; Tammy Ceroalo with 3 (but gave up the trophy): Jen Flint with 2 (gave up the trophy); U18: Kyle Collins with 2, Nick Collins with 1; Evan Ceroalo with 0 (but hit closet to fence)

Our new competition, the Throw Down, was to see who could throw the ball home most accurately. All the players and the fathers got involved in this (the mothers decided to get some food ready).

Throw down results: u10 – Henry Flint (1st); U15: Jordan Van Wormer (1st); Dan Diaz (2nd); George Flint (3rd); u18/adult: Paul Wojak (1st); Evan Ceroalo (2nd), Ron Lewis (3rd). This was a good add this year, as it got most players involved; some are not confident to hit home runs.

Softball was a rain out but 2 players, Ariann Ceroalo (varsity) and Ruth Reickard (U10) and Coach Wilday, did show. Thank you for the support!
