The Hyde family of Glens Falls collected art to display in their home and it is now a tourable museum called the Hyde Collection. Anyone that is a student is able to enter and look around for free.
Mrs. David arranged for the Studio Art class to tour the collection. Most everyone enjoyed the architecture and Italian aesthetic of the building. Things like natural lighting, lavish courtyards, and the curved roofs tied together the vibe.
Everyone appreciated the history behind the paintings, especially the curator teaching us how to steal the works of art! He explained all the new added safety measures in the building shortly thereafter so none of us were able to apply these newfound skills.
The guide’s name was Gary, and everyone felt very comfortable in his presence. He knew facts beyond the paintings we saw and drew in outside knowledge. I heard many of my peers comment on how interesting his facts were.
The Hyde museum is definitely worth a detour! Go visit for a great time and memories.

I thought the trip was so cool! And I love how you described it! If I ever steal a painting I know who to blame it on LOL.
