Over the break the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) held its Teen Murder Mystery, this theme was Teen Choice Awards! Each character was inspired by a celebrity. I myself played Emma Watts, inspired by Hermione Granger actor, Emma Watson.
The game started with the announcement of the Teen Choice winners, one for boys and one for girls: Logan Leeman, and Genny Lawrent. The game is preceded into the first “round”; it is constructed of three rounds. The first round was mingling. Each player has a card that tells you things about your character that you can share and parts you keep to yourself. The murderer found out who they were with the rest of the players.
Round two was figuring out motives, we all started to gain an idea of who was the victim about now. Logan Leeman was my worst critic and who I thought was a horrible actor. Then the victim, Logan Leeman died, and we all questioned one another’s alibis. Everyone had a motive, some were ex’s and others were upset that he held grudges over trashcans on the curb.
Eventually I made my way to Celene Gomez who was in the kitchen where she could have very easily poisoned his drink. This was everyone’s prime suspect, however I was suspicious of Robbie Patterson who was last seen with the victim. Many fingerprints were on the weapon of choice, a telephone cable.
The third round was then accusing everyone. The majority voted for Celene who actually did poison him, but didn’t kill him. Eventually the murderer, Taye Swiftly was found guilty but escaped to Mexico. We all had fun and I’m looking forward to the next one.
