Next up, number 16, Grace O’Brien! She is a Setter and Right side!

She started playing in 7th grade.

Her favorite drink for when she is playing is ice cold water. uring a tournament you might see her eating chocolate chip muffins as they are her favorite tournament food.

She prefers long sleeve jerseys. 

She doesn’t have a favorite shoe brand but she has always worn Nike.

In her free time she enjoys watching college women’s volleyball.

Grace also plays basketball and is on the track team. 

Her favorite saying is, “You gotta put the work in”.

She would like to thank her mom for being by her side during her volleyball career. She says, “She has always been there to reassure and support me.”

Once Grace leaves Galway, she would like to major in radiology and biology. 

Come out and cheer her on this weekend. After winning the New York High School volleyball regional semifinals last weekend, beating Saranac Lake in three sets, the team is heading to the State Championships this weekend at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls! They will play in a round robin with Port Jefferson, Lansing, and Portville beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022. From there, the top two teams will play on Sunday at noon.
