Squirrel monkeys are a rare type of monkey that few people have heard about before. Squirrel monkeys live around the Amazon River basin and they also can be found in South America. They are usually 25-40 cm long including their very long tail. They can communicate using at least 26 different calls. Squirrel monkeys eat fruit, leaves, buds, tree gum, insects, spiders, and sometimes small vertebrates. Squirrel monkeys are very special creatures that I think more people should know about.
