To My Future Teachers,

The only reason I’m writing this to you is because I don’t feel like restating it for every single teacher that I come across. Also I’m too awkward to say anything to you. By the time that I’m comfortable enough to tell you anything, the situation will probably be resolved, so I might as well explain things now.

Please understand that I will be extremely shy for a while. I will barely speak and my voice may be too quiet or my words too quick to understand. I just have difficulty in new environments so please understand that it’s not you, but instead it’s my own issue that I have yet to work through.

That being said, I probably won’t ask questions. Mainly because I have this fear of asking you anything. But I probably will wind up having questions. I just need you to have patience because it’ll take me a minute to build up the courage to say anything. But, once I get comfortable with you then I tend to talk quite a bit.

I will stress about any test, quiz, or essay that you may give. I will tell you that I’m going to fail a test or a quiz even if I know the material by heart. It’s just my anxiety and my brain working against me.

I do my absolute best on any assignment that you give but don’t be surprised if I procrastinate slightly. I’ll get distracted and forget what I was doing so whatever I was working on gets pushed aside. I promise that it’ll get done, though.

I’m not very particular about who I’m sat next to. I tend to get along with everyone so that shouldn’t be an issue. Just keep in mind that I wear glasses so that means I have issues seeing the board. My only request is that I’m not in the way back of the room.

My favorite subject is probably English or history. I understand those two subjects the most and find my highest grades there. I wouldn’t say that I have a least favorite subject, but I do have a worst. I do the worst in either math or science. Science is difficult for me to understand and there’s too many variables in math.

I couldn’t tell you how I learn. Everybody says that you can either learn by reading or by hands on work or visually. It depends on what we’re doing in class how I need to figure things out. Sorry that I couldn’t be more helpful in this aspect.

I’m sure that I’ll like your class and we’ll get along fine but it’s always easier to have an understanding before I walk into your class.
