Inspiration: Nature

Alex Malanoski, Jr. High EMC Staff Writer

Ever since I was little, I have been fascinated by nature. The sight of animals and sunsets have always been breathtaking to me. When I am fortunate to experience nature, I usually have a camera by my side.

One of my favorite sights are sunsets. They can come in many different colors as the sun goes down and reflects onto the clouds and the sky. I have experienced pink, orange, red, and purple in some sunsets. They are also particularly amazing when reflecting onto the lake below them.

I also like to take pictures of animals in nature. I like to take close-ups of lizards, insects, and spiders. Birds are also very interesting when seen up close.

Breathtaking views over bridges are also very stunning. Even dying trees can look beautiful when pointing your camera upwards at them in the sky. There are many things all around us that we don’t realize can be incredible. Taking pictures allows you to relive the moment over and over again. Plus, if people don’t believe that you experienced something, you have evidence to show.

I take most of these pictures with my iPad with Retina Display. However, I did recently get a Nikon D3300 which is a better camera than the iPad for certain instances. It has a much better zoom which inspires me to take even more pictures than I ever have before.

I have always been inspired by nature and all of the things around me that I am able to capture within a picture. It is crazy how much you can do with just a camera or an iPad in your hand when looking at the beautiful nature that surrounds us. You just have to open your door, grab your camera, and take a step outside. Check out some of my pictures!
