Pumped for Prom

WATER’S EDGE–If you haven’t heard the news, in only a few short months the Juniors will be hosting the Junior class Prom. Isn’t this exciting?!

The location of the Juniors’ spectacular prom will be held at Water’s Edge Lighthouse on Freeman’s Bridge Road in Scotia.  If you’ve ever been to Water’s edge Lighthouse, you can see that there is The Lighthouse which is the restaurant and The Terrace which is in the banquet hall. We will be holding the Junior prom in The Terrace.

Water’s Edge, as the Junior class officers have come to call it, offers many beautiful opportunities like the terrace right alongside the Mohawk River, which may be accessed for the whole night, depending on the weather. Another specialty of Water’s Edge is the outdoor fire place which, depending on the weather as well, may be lit when the sun goes down until the end of the evening.

When it comes to prom, using the restroom does not play a major role when girls choose their dresses. But fear not ladies, Water’s Edge has a grand ballgown stall equipped with its own sink and a small bench and maybe even hair care products. If we do say so ourselves, we find this is very convenient.

In December all the Juniors voted for a theme.  The three theme choices included Enchanted Forest, Starry Night/Reflections, and A Night in Italy.  And with a land slide vote, we concluded that the winning theme was A Night in Italy.  All the Junior class officers are very excited that Prom is only 5 months away.  Hopefully this will encourage new faces to come and help us get the ball rolling with more ideas.
