Witch & Wizard Review

Witch & Wizard

Dylan J. Loux

Witch and Wizard a novel written by James Patterson with Gabrielle Charbonnet. This is a fantasy novel. The book was published on December 14, 2009 by Little Brown And Company.

The book is about Whit and Wisty Allgood who live in a dystopian future, during the time of an uprising of a new totalitarian government called the New Order or N.O. for short.  The siblings were arrested, imprisoned and sentenced to death by the N.O. for what you may ask nothing really just for unknowingly possessing outlawed magical abilities. What else can go wrong for these kids well a lot can still happen.

The antagonist of this story is the N.O. leader The One Who is The One, besides ordering the destruction of free thinking and brain washing people he also enjoys executing people. Another is Byron Swain a classmate to Wisty, he kind of a weasel who works for N.O.

This book is told in first person by Whit and Wisty, every few chapters it switches from one to the other.  Following this book is Witch and Wizard: The Gift. Our library contains a few copies of Witch and Wizard. My opinion of this book is that it was a delight, with its comedy and mysteries. This book gets a five out of five.
