I recently read The Do-Over by Lynn Painter. I previously did another article on another book that she wrote and I highly recommend both of them. This book alone has made her one of my favorite authors.

The book follows Emilie Hornby who is stuck in a Valentine’s Day loop! Her first Valentine’s Day might as well be hailed the worst day in her life. Emilie is a serious perfectionist and has a list of things to do that day. Her biggest goal is telling her boyfriend that she loves him, but how does she say the ‘L’ word especially when day after day she repeatedly watches him cheat on her?

The weirdest thing though is that every Valentine’s redo she runs into her Chemistry partner, Nick Stark. Eventually she decides to have a Day Of No Consequences. She can’t get punished longer than a day anyway so no harm no foul. Lynn Painter will have all you book nerds out there falling in love with her main characters.
