If you don’t know what the MCU is you have likely been living under a rock. The MCU stands for Marvel Cinematic Universe, bringing life to characters such as Iron Man, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, and Thor. Those are only some of the many characters. So in honor of Marvel’s first 10 years and the end of phase 3 here are the top 10 MCU movies.

1. Captain America: The First Avenger – This movie is about how Steve Rogers, a kid from Brooklyn, became the hero known as Captain America.
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier – This movie shows the events that befall Steve after the events of Avengers. In this movie Steve has to fight someone from his past.
3. Captain America: Civil War – This movie follows the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. 117 of the United Nations believe that the Avengers are a danger and want  to keep them in control. Steve believes that it is giving up their freedom and that they shouldn’t do it. Tony, having caused the disaster in Sokovia, believes they should sign and that they need to be put in check. At the signing of the Sokovia Accords, the place is bombed. Bucky Barnes is accused of the crime. Steve thinks that his friend is innocent. This movie follows the battle between Captain America and Iron Man.
4. Ant man and the Wasp – This takes place during infinity war.  After Civil War Scott takes a deal for 2 years of house arrest. A couple of days before the 2 years are up Hank and Hope need Scott’s help. Because of his connection to the quantum realm, he has a connection to Janet, Hope’s mother. Hope needs his help to find her mother.
5. Spiderman: Homecoming – Peter Parker is a high school student who helps his neighborhood.  Peter tries to keep a normal life and being a super hero. But soon he puts his powers to the test when the evil Vulture threatens everything he loves.
6. Avengers: Infinity War – This movie is the third in the installment. When the evil tyrant Thanos threatens to destroy half the universe all the main characters come together to fight. Whether it be in space or on earth, you are guaranteed to see your favorite main character fighting to save the universe.
7. Thor: Ragnorak – Thor seeks out his father after returning to Asgard to find Loki pretending to be their father. They find him but not in time. Odin dies after telling Thor and Loki that they have a sister. Her name is Hela the goddess of death. When trying to get back to Asgard, Hela throws Loki then Thor out of the Bifrost. Both of them land in Sakaar. Loki had been there for weeks by the time Thor had gotten there. Thor finds Hulk who had been missing since the events in Sokovia. They have to find a way off of Sakaar and get back to Asgard to defeat Hela.
8. Avengers: Age of Ultron – This movie starts out with the Avengers trying to retrieve Loki’s staff. They do and Tony finds something in the staff–technology with the ability to think. Tony wanted to put it in a body. The other Avengers stopped him though. However it puts itself into a body and calls itself Ultron. Ultron believes that the way to bring peace to the world is destroying the Avengers.
9. Black Panther – This movie takes place 2 weeks after the bombing in Vienna. T’chala is to be crowned king of Wakanda. He is and then they go after Ulysses Klaue. He is responsible for selling Vibranium, an bullet-proof material. He goes to sell some to the highest bidder. That so happens to be Agent Everet Ross. Then we meet   Erik Killmonger. He is the son of T’chaka’s brother, N’jobu.
10. Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 – The Guardians are trying to save the world from Ego. Ego is a celestial. He is also Peter’s father. At first Peter is skeptical. Then over time he trusts Ego. That was probably the worse decision he could make. Rocket and Groot find out why Yondu kept Peter. They go as fast as they can to save Peter and the others but they are too late. Ego is already trying to use Peter to destroy the universe. Then he slips up causing Peter to fight him.
