It airs on Sunday nights at 9pm on channel 29 (AMC). I like this show because it’s not your usual reality TV show and its had a really great story line since the first season started two years ago.

The Walking Dead is about a group of people trying to stay together and survive after the world has been taken over by zombies (known as walkers) due to an unknown worldwide epidemic.

This group is constantly on the run trying to find a safe place away from the walkers who come in hordes and kill any living thing they can find. If any humans are bitten or scratched by a walker, they too become infected and turn into a walker. The group is led by Rick Grimes who was a police officer before the epidemic took over. His wife Lori and son Carl are survivors in the group of people Rick is trying to keep safe. The series has just pretty much had the same characters since season one with a few main characters being killed throughout the past two seasons.

In season two, the group ends up at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, where a scientist is the only one left inside and alive. He explains the dire situation of the epidemic to the group and tells them there is no cure and in private, tells Rick that everyone carries the disease. At the end of this episode the scientist gives everyone in the group the option to stay inside the building with him because it was set on a timer to explode and destroy everything inside. Only one person from the group stayed.

My favorite character was Shane- he was Rick’s best friend and partner on the police force but died at the end of season two.

The premier of season three was pretty much what I thought it was going to be based on the way season 2 ended. The group had been staying at a local farm house but hundreds of walkers took over and the group had to leave and go on the run again. They ended up in the middle of nowhere, and off in the distance was a huge prison.

In the premier of season three, the group finds the prison and after fighting and killing off a bunch of walkers who were former prison workers and inmates, they take over part of the prison and start planning on settling in there.

Based on the upcoming previews for the season three, my prediction is that other survivors are going to show up at the prison and try to settle in there also, and it will end up leading to many problems. Each group that comes in is going to want to be in charge and the prison will turn into a prison again with a warden and inmates. I also predict that one or more main characters will die. I’m guessing it will be Rick’s wife, Lori, who is extremely pregnant at this point in the show.
