On April 25th the Galway High School business students took a field trip to New York City, with our business teacher Mrs. Pellett. After making the three hour drive down to the city, our first stop was a walking tour of the NY Stock Exchange. We learned about the history of Wall Street, went inside and saw the Federal Hall, saw Trinity Church, and finally saw Alexander Hamilton’s grave. To finish the tour we played a little game that simulated how the stock exchange worked before we started walking to go find lunch.
We sat down and ate some pizza at Pizza Etalia, a pizza spot just off of Broadway. We then went to Battery Park to get in line to go on a ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. After waiting in the very long line for security, we finally got on the ferry to go to Liberty Island.
Once we got onto the island we walked around the front of the Statue. Then we went inside the museum that was also on the island. We saw a bunch of cool artifacts of items used to make the Statue of Liberty.
After seeing the Statue of Liberty, we walked nine blocks to the 9/11 Memorial. When looking around at all the names, it gave a sense of how many people actually died during the tragic events that happened on 9/11. For our final stop on the field trip we stopped by the FDNY Ladder Ten Station. We all got to sit in the fire trucks and get a good look at the inside of the station.
By the end of the trip I was exhausted and tired, but I had so much fun. Despite the fact that it was really hot, my favorite part was seeing the Statue of Liberty.

Was there a teacher who planned the trip and accompanied the students? No name of teacher in the article.
