Still in the soccer category, our next senior is Gabriel Aldrich! Gabe has played soccer for four and a half years. After high school, he plans to continue playing, even after college. In college, Gabe hopes to study business or finance, although he is open to change.
Gabe is proud of how his career at Galway has worked out, especially his hat trick on Homecoming night, which helped Galway secure a win. Before he graduates, he hopes to motivate the younger kids on his team to try harder. I asked him if he felt complete with his time playing at Galway. He told me, “There are still a lot more things I want to do and accomplish.”
I asked Gabe some more personal questions at the end of the interview. I wondered how it feels to say goodbye to his team? “A little upset but I can’t wait to continue somewhere else.” Are there any messages to his coaches before he leaves? “I thank them for helping me out and being there to get me better.” Anything else he would like to share with his teammates? “Hopefully they keep pushing themselves to get better with every game and practice they have.”
