Mr. Ratti was 38 years old on September 28, 2025. Happy belated birthday Mr. Ratti!

He is our new principal at Galway Central School District. He has been in education for 14 years now. Before working at Galway, he was a social studies teacher at Fort Edward and then he was a principal at Northville.

Growing up and going to school at Hudson Falls, he was a good student but made some mistakes that he regrets doing. He had teachers that always supported him but also encouraged him to be his best self and helped him though times he needed the most. His favorite teachers were Mr. Munoff, Mr. Livingston, Mr. Silva, and Mr. Neisz and he is good friends with some of them to this day. 

Mr. Ratti went to Siena College, which is where he met his wife. He also went to The College of St. Rose and SUNY Plattsburgh. In school, he knew he wanted to be an educator because he was inspired by his teachers that were always helpful and guided him through the years. But, for his internship he was a principal and immediately fell in love with the job. That’s when he knew he was going to be a principal.

He loves steak, potatoes and quesadillas. His hobbies are snowboarding, golfing, and hanging out with his 3 year old son, Everett. Mr. Ratti’s favorite bands are CCR and Phish. He loves classic rock and live music too! Mr. Ratti’s idol is his grandfather because he is hard working and values family.

He was very fond of basketball and his favorite player was Larry Bird. He also enjoys golf and he worked at a golf course for about 10 years.

So far, he thinks the kids here are really nice and polite. For example, whenever he says “Good morning” he claims the kids say it back to him.

Mr. Ratti really loves his family and is a very kind and caring person. We are glad to welcome him to our Galway family.
