Following graduation practice Friday morning, a group of Seniors stayed to plant one of the Senior Gifts, a crabapple tree purchased from Bob’s Trees. The class also has a plaque to commemorate the gift with the engraving “Galway High School, Class of 2019, New Beginnings.”

The Class will also donate funds to the Melodies Center at Albany Medical Center. The center provides care for children battling cancer and blood diseases. The gift is given in memory and honor of a student of the class, Brendon Loya, who was a patient at the center and passed away. His brother, Adam Loya, will accept the gift on behalf of his family at graduation on Saturday morning at the High School auditorium.

The Class has also given funds to the Class of 2020, 2021 and 2023, as well as High School Student Senate. It is hoped that the money will help them with their many activities.

EMC and GTV wishes the Class of 2019 Good Luck on all their future endeavors!
