Big Apple Crunch 2013
The Big Apple Crunch is an attempt to set the world record for the “Most Participants in an Apple-Crunching Event.” This event will take place on FOOD DAY – October 24, 2013.
The Galway Central School District will be hosting our own Crunch! The Matthews family, of the My Other Garden farm, will donate 1,100 apples to the district so all students, K-12, and all staff members can participate! GTV will be hosting the countdown for the junior and senior high on Thursday at noon. RecordSetter.com, a New York City based organization tracking new world records, will be tracking our progress towards having the “Most Participants in an Apple-Crunching Event!”
2012 Crunch: 400,000 New Yorkers participated
Galway will help the state of New York reach the 2013 goalĀ of 1,000,000 Crunches!

I am very excited about this. Also, I am glad it’s after the cross country season is over because otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to eat an apple during the day.
