E-way Store Employee of the Month: Chad Sherman

E-way Store Employee of the Month: Chad Sherman

Chad Sherman is a senior at Galway High School.  He interns at the E-way store, anchors for GTV, is a Boy Scout, and participates in some sports.  He claims to not be very coordinated so just sticks with the basic-running. He runs Cross Country in the Fall and Track and Field in the Spring. One of his favorite events in track is the 4×4 relay, each of the 4 people on the team run one lap.  His team was very good last year and broke the old school record!

After graduating, Chad plans on attending college at SUNY Delhi and will be studying welding and welding technology. Though he loves Galway, Chad is very excited to start a new chapter in his life and try something new. After college he doesn’t really ever plan on leaving New York–most of his family lives here and Chad feels it would be good to still be close with them. He doesn’t aspire to do any sports in college.

Chad credits interning at the E-way store with teaching him many things. One of the biggest things it has taught him is that when in a business everyone needs to work as a team. If people are not cooperating or arguing it really puts a damper on everything. Another thing he has learned is that everyone needs to split up the work and not just have one person be responsible for everything. If people are assigned jobs and get them done, everything will run smoothly. One last big thing he has learned is that communication is key. Everyone needs to know what is going on and to be kept up to date with everything. Also if a person can’t make it and run the school store and doesn’t tell anyone it sometimes slows things down. Overall Chad says he has had a great experience with the E-way Store.
